And my friend sent me this photo that he took last weekend. Okay Aston Martin's can be quite common place in some parts of Switzerland....but if you look over at the other side of the street, there are people staring but they are standing next to an even more interesting car.

The same friend spotted a red Koenigseggggggggg a couple of months ago at Burkliplatz, Zurich.
What's the big deal with covering the number plate ?
The cars have number plates when parked

Indeed, they are certainly pretty common around here, as are Ferarris, Maseratis, and, of course, the ubiquitous Porsches, Mercs, and BMWs.

I was in Lugano some weeks ago and I saw a Porsche 918 Spyder in dark blue color! Even though I am a Ferraristi and always thought the Porsche design is just a little better than that of an egg , I must admit I was very impressed with this pumped up Beetle!

I am just playing it safe here FMF.
Cyrus earlier in this thread said it might be an invasion of privacy.
Some kantons allow you to enter a car's registration and you can track the car's registered address.
I saw a really hot woman I an amazing dress climb out of a black gull wing supercar like a Mclaren the other month. She looked angry and returned to her car a couple of minutes later after going into a fancy restaurant looking for someone. If I had posted a photo of her car and got her or someone else in hot water I think she could've had a grudge against me posting her whereabouts on a public forum with many thousands of users.

I have 2 cars that are "1 of 170 in the world" cars. The first day I got the second one I drove up to Landi - and another one pulls into the car park. TIS

Re: What Special Cars Have You Seen in Switzerland??

Kind of cheating as this was taken outside FIFA's favourite Baur Au Lac Hotel where I was passing and this car is owned as a promotional vehicle for Emil Frey.

Anyway I remember going to the 1980 motor show in Birmingham, UK and seeing this remarkable and pretty brutally unattractive Aston Martin Lagonda on display in saloon version. But I have never in my life heard of let alone seen an estate version.
I looked at the rear and the model is called a "Shooting Brake" (used to mean a large car to take people hunting but now is used more liberally).

I offer to you one of the rarest, ungainliest, exotic cars ever produced...

Re: What Special Cars Have You Seen in Switzerland??

I got my new car finally today. I am not trying to show off -- I just wanted to tell you that if you have a dream, and if you try your best, eventually your dream will come true. Mine did.

Don't ask me why I chose silver. It's because silver cars don't show the dirt as much.

WHAAAAAAAAT? You saw an XJ220 and didn't take a photo and then you told us about it? That deserves more groans and negative red blobbies for getting us all excited and then not coming up with the goods. ;-) I guess it was occupied by two Bond Girls in bikinis licking ice creams as well!

sitting on the pavement outside starbucks in Central, it just came around the corner - by the time my phone was in my hand (~1 second) it had all by disappeared. I've seen Veyrons and other exotica hundreds of times - this was my most memorable sighting, it looks like nothing else on the road.
