| | | Rent a bus with driver
Hi all,
We (about 15 People) are looking to do a football tour to Tuscany in October.
If possible we'd like to rent a bus plus driver for the weekend as not many of us have the needed D1 qualification and those that do want to drink etc.
So I think we have two options:
1. Find a company, if one exists, that would perform this service and get dome quotes.
2. Find a forummer with a D1 who fancies driving us to Italy. We'd rent the bus, pay the driver and put them up and pay their meals / booze - if they want to play, they'd also be welcome to.
So, does anyone know any companies for option 1, or anybody fancy a weekend down to Italy where you get booze, board and grub free and get paid for the trouble of driving us?
Thanks,
StirB

For option 1, any local tour bus operator could do this, ie. the ones doing senior trips, trips to Europapark, local school runs, etc.. I know a number around here, in swiss romande, but not in Zurich. Just look up in yellow pages or google it.

Welti Furrer might be a good place to start. They also trade under the name Eurobus. In the past I've found them to be competitive in their bidding and also open to negotations. Do check their invoices carefully though as the last time we used them there was an accidental "mistake". Maybe it was genuine so I won't crucify them over it and they were quick to correct it when I pointed it out. The driver was very professional and cooperative though and the service good, the bus clean etc.

The parents of a colleague have this: http://glanzmanncar.ch/ I recommended it to someone on the forum before and they were very pleased with them. Might be worth a try.

If you want to tzravel in style, you could consider renting a 1960's Postauto. Here is a place to hire them:
(different vehicles with different sizes and specs available, so its worth browsing what's on offer) http://www.hnf.ch/HNF/index.htm | | This user would like to thank amogles for this useful post: | |

Don't 3/4 of you have 5 seater cars you could take instead?

Getting a bus and driver allows us a bit of fun on the way there, too.

Welti quoted the thick edge of 3000chf for that. Someone on the forum quoted me a much more reasonable price than that - I suggest you contact Dreispitz for details.

I've found someone (off the forum) to do my trip in Oct.
Was just trying to help Dan out, as it sounds like the same thing.
