Re: speeding Fine from switzerland

Within the EU and Switzerland there are now procedures in place to collect fines from foreign drivers. In Switzerland there is no points system and the fine is sent to the owner of the car which, of course, is not necessarily the driver.

The speed quoted (118km) is after an allowance has been made so the actual recorded speed was somewhat higher. You will find other threads about speeding fine if you search.
You should not therefore have any worries about points.

Re: speeding Fine from switzerland

Hi, there is no points system in Switzerland and no further sanctions are impending if the fine gets paid in time. Scroll down for related threads with further information.

you should be able to find the payment instruction by using credit card
fill those information and fax it using the number mentioned in the title of the letter

Assuming your speeding fine letter is the same as my traffic light breaking fine letter.

I have a ticket of 1 kilometer ( speed limit was 50 and I drive with 56 )
40 CHF.....

Pay that ticket and say thanks that they are so good with you.

P.S. Have you search for miomap PLus II GPS software?

Google it.... I cant give you more about that....But is working.

Re: speeding Fine from switzerland

Me too, I got my first-ever speeding ticket yesterday, doing 56 on a 50max street. Without the allowance I got a ticket for 1km/hr, for CHF40. I'll pay and probably even send them a Xmas card for the low fine.
