Hi,

Im selling one of my motorcycles privately and Id like to know what the "convention" is for such a procedure.

In the UK it would be " Leave the bike price in cash and take it for a test ride only"...What is it here ?

One other thing is that since it is Bike number 3...I cancelled the Carte Gris Last week and hence it is just sitting in my garage..How do I allow a trial run without worrying about the insurance ?

Any ideas ?

I thought the 'grace period' after cancellation of your vehicle registration was only 24 hours to allow you to drive home. I'll let wiser heads confirm... but I think it's illegal to allow any vehicle onto the road that isn't registered, regardless of insurance situation. Unless you re-register, I think the only option is to allow a test drive on private land.. or the buyer buys it without a test ride.
