TCS now offers Air Ambulance Services to injured clients

The Touring Club of Switzerland (TCS) has launched an airborne ambulance service to bring injured clients home.

Quote:
This week, TCS announced its partnership with Alpine Air Ambulance (AAA), a Zurich-based enterprise. TCS owns a 49 per cent share in AAA, which gives it access to three emergency helicopters as well as two other vehicles. In addition, AAA has more planes available.

“We provide transport from anywhere in the world to a hospital in Switzerland,” TCS spokesman Stephan Müller told swissinfo.ch.

Re: TCS now offers Air Ambulance Services to injured clients

Quite why TCS and Lions Air feel the urge to take on REGA is open to interpretation, but after TCS and REGA canceled their co-operation last year this was to be expected. There is currently no home base for the new operations' helicopter base, although Birrfeld and Dübendorf have been mooted.

I for one, would put my trust in REGA; that organization has a stunning record and years of practical experience with many years of professional air rescues and medical repatriation flights.

More importantly if you wanted this type of cover who would be better?

It seems REGA also does the rescue bit and has more customers.

Whenever I'm half-dead on the slopes somewhere, I frankly don't care who will come and get me...as long as somebody is on it's way.

Just call International Rescue and ask for Lady Penelope.
