go to autoscout from each country and compare prices. add to the foreign ones 15-20 ish % of extra cost (time, paperwork, duties etc ) and you will have a reasonable comparison.

Thanks Anthony...Sounds like too much hassle for maybe not so much saving. On another note I also heard a new Sport falls apart after a short space of time.

A coworker was interested in buying one, too, but the garagist he specifically asked about this didn't appear very convincing in dispelling his doubts...

If I may ask, why do you want to own that specific car?
I would assume that most of the Range Rovers you see on the streets here are leased company-cars. Buying one? On one's own dime?
Not a good idea, IMO...

There are much nicer cars for that price (or less), which are way cheaper to maintain.

I've got a VW Lupo and even for that kind of car, the parking spots are not overly big. I can't imagine trying to maneuver an SUV into the cramped underground parking-lots here - and my co-worker with his Porsche Cayenne agrees with me: it's a big hassle.

I prefer the Discovery 4, have driven both in the last 6 months. Also had a RR vogue for a few weeks which is the nicest of the three but way too expensive. If you are lucky enough to get a reliable one the D4 HSE is a great car with a huge amount of space, if, like me, you get one that needs turbo replacement and 3 months off the road to get problems fixed, then it is a nightmare. To be honest I would avoid the Land Rover stable until they get the reliability issues fixed (I ignored this advice to my cost)
