| I just found out that somebody scratched my car while parked. On the rear fender, some yellowish paint, 5-6 lines and small bump. It's a plastic metallic fender, the scratches are not very deep, but deep enough not to be able to polish it.
Good thing is, I have full casco. I chose the insurance 3 weeks ago with my insurer and from memory in case like this I don't have to pay anything. I haven't received the bill for the insurance yet.
What shall I do now, take photos of the scratches? It was parked on a paying parking on the street, shall I call the police? I don't really think they can be involved, I don't know who scratched it. Or just to call my insurer and see what can be done?
Any experience to share? Thanks | |

If you have the "Parkschaden" option on your insurance, you will not need to pay a penny.
From the moment the form is signed, you are insured. Even if you havnt received a bill!
Call your insurance claims department, if the damage is minimal, they will send you a claims form and tell you to go to a garage to get it repaired on their cost. If the damage is going to cost a lot to repair, they may send someone to have a look at it. (think normally its over 3000.- when they send someone)
Its a fairly easy and pain free process
