Import new car from Germany - VAT NOT PAID in Germany

Hi all - I have been hunting around on the internet and can't find anything about this particular case. What I'm thinking of is:
- buying a new car in Germany for export (without the VAT of c. 16%)
- importing it into Switzerland

If I do this, are the only charges with apply, the usual ones OR are there additional charges, as the VAT has not been paid at source. By usual charges I mean:
  • Customs duties: rate based on the weight and the engine capacity of the vehicle
  • Consumption tax: amounting to 4% of the car's worth
  • VAT (value added tax)
  • Fee: for the report (a document that is required in order to register the vehicle in Switzerland).
Any help be much appreciated

Thanks
K

no customs duties if you have the form for export---
vat yes Swiss vat to pay
Fee
Service automobile fee for inspection

PS. german vat is 19 something %
They will have to see you really exporting, so you usually pay the vat and get it back after form is given to customs...

German VAT is 19.0%

If you drive your car to the border, there's also German temp insurance and export plates to think about, unless you can somehow manage to get Swiss plates from the off. If you import the car into Germany on the back of a truck, well, there's transport costs.
