| | | Re: I got ticket for Bus! | Quote: | | | | | Maybe you should contact the town hall that you were registered with to explain the circumstances and let them know why you didnt de-register yourself.
If you give them a forwarding address then it would mean that they can contact you there if the SBB take it further with a claim for the money allowing you to pay it. If you dont, it could mean that you get registered in debt in switzerland without even knowing it. | | | | | Yeah i got exactly what u mean and i think its very wise suggestion but could you tell me how can i find contact for this town hall in Luango . ?

This post looks very much a repeat of one last year concerning an unpaid inetrnet bill! Did you pay that one or are you still on the run?

You can try SBB, they may be able to give you a contact number of the appropriate bus company. If not you will need to search it yourself, try google

Tupac every city, town and village of Switzerland has its name registered with ".ch". Why don't you try that as a starting point.
Seriously. Some people.

| | | Re: I got ticket for Bus! TPL, in particular this:
So, expect it to be at least CHF 180 now.
Tom
P.S. No, it's NOT available in English!

You will go directly to jail and not pass go or collect your 200$...
Seriously: Can you explain me once again why it is impossible for the Swiss to contact you?
I left Switzerland last year and the Zurich police had absolutely no problem to send me a speeding fine after I arrived in Asia. The time and place of the ticket shows me that I was driving three hours before my plane left to the road authorities to hand back my registration plate!
In short: Looks like you did not deregister. So a simple check list: Are you sure you cancelled your mobile phone? Land line? Cable TV? Health insurance?... whoever else might send you a bill?
If you did not, they will continue to send bills to your old address. If you do not pay those bills will they end up in the Swiss small claims system (No idea what Betreibung is called in Italian). So once you go back to Switzerland, you are in for a whole lot of fines and payments...

You post the same thing in April and the fine is gone down to 60F.
You should keep on posting, it will cancel itself in no time.
And why, oh why, are you asking the same question, when st2lemans gave you the answer 3 months ago ?

I just want to say thanks to Tupac, this thread reminded me that I had left my bus pass in my coat pocket which I had just put away in the wardrobe.
Thanks, you saved me a 70 CHF fine (or was it a 60 CHF fine?)

Tupac, have you actually followed up on the advice that has been given re deregistering, thus giving a forwarding address for the local authority to use if they want to? Even if you send it to "The Rathaus" , adding the town and Switzerland, at the bottom of the letter, I think it is likely to reach the correct destination.
If, at the same time, you mention your problem regarding the supposed outstanding fine, I am sure they will be able to give you the correct useful advice.
