Administration Epic Fail: Vaud, Service automobiles " a vot' service...

Hi,

Just spreading the news about our almighty "service des automobiles" in Lausanne, Vaud.

It looks like it started from a clever idea of monitoring the attendance to their offices.

They even came up with a clear illustration:

Original:
http://www.vd.ch/themes/mobilite/aut...s-de-lausanne/

English:
http://translate.google.com/translat...de-lausanne%2F

So know that the service has identified that there is hours where there offices are flooded (they even used the term stormed), they recommend....................................
............
.............that you come at different times!!!

Even better they show consideration and understanding ("Without changing your habits, we therefore strongly recommend you plan your visits accordingly, the extent of your capabilities and emergencies course")...

Ho Almighty administration, I will change my life for you! I will sacrifice my work and will kill a chicken (Swiss one) to please you....

PS: There is none of these genius who have made the link between their opening times and the working hours?
None of them have even considered a second that they should have opening times adapted to the main part of the population (working people)?
None of them have even though about adapting their "answering capacities" to those rush hours instead of asking the users to...come when it's less busy????

Complaint: Fail!

It opens at 7:15 AM! And that is when it's mostly unused. Most people aren't working at that time. They are just trying to help you by telling you "hey, go before work instead of at lunch".

But thanks for reminding me I need to go & change my plates & my license. Tomorrow early AM it is.

True about early opening hours, I never waited more than 2-3 minutes when coming around 7:30 there. But it's kinda logical, every office has it's peaks correlated to workload of their "customers". We are lucky that they open so early, imagine they would open 8:30 or later (for those of us commuting to Geneva).

Fair enough for the early start. That does qualify as "earlier than business hours"...

I was more thinking into "after work" (ie after 16h00, more like after 18h00).

Edit: But then they should clearly indicate that important information instead of saying "mornings". They should remember that they open at 7am, which is earlier than business hours. I actually forgot about that 7am!
