I got a bill from the rental company for Administrative fee. As the email below explains this is for providing my information to the law enforcement agency for a traffic fine. I did not receive the actual fine from Swedish authorities.
As I've read in many forums, by the time the fine reaches the U.S. it's overdue. So to avoid losing more money, I was wondering if it is possible to see or pay the fine online, as it is done for fines in New York.

| I have checked the invoice in our systems and found that you received a
fine during the rental.
You were charged with CHF 48.60 (CHF 45.00 + CHF 3.60 for the VAT), this is
for our Hertz administration fee. This charge is for our additional
administrative efforts concerning queries of our traffic authority. This
authority asked us to provide them (by Law) with the rental data regarding
a traffic violation which had been registered whilst the rental vehicle was
in your possession.
The administration fee invoice is the Hertz internal administration fee. It
is not a forwarding of the fine. This fee is charged in accordance to our
Terms and Conditions. You have accepted this charge with the rental
agreement.
We charged the amount of CHF 48.60 to your credit card already. At this
moment we didn't received any copy of the fine from the authorities, you
have to wait until they send you the original fine. | |
