I recieved a speeding fine in the post today which was for an offence i committed back in February in Geneva. Does anyone know if there is a maximum amount of time the authorities must send your ticket by like in the UK?

I presume it took so long to find you coz you are not a swiss resident and the working with the english DMV and the swiss equivalent might have taken sometime to find you ,respectivle the adress of where the fine hadd to be sent to ,that's why you received it so late.

Also they don't expire,after a certain time they will also add interest to it,plus your name will be on a list and upon entering switzerland again you will most likely be stopped by customs and asked to pay the fine there and then.

It is possible very often to pay this via onlinebanking, there should be details on the letter of how to proceed.
