We are in a bit of a fix. My family is relocating in early March due to husband's new posting, and we were expecting with my pregnancy due date in mid February, everything running smoothly, that we could fly off then. However, long story short, it seems like we can only move in late March to early April. Problem is we sold our car with transfer on 25th feb. We need some advice on where we can rent a car for weeks to months without breaking the bank. Any recommendations or help appreciated!

If the delay is due to the employer's doings, maybe they will help hire a rental at business rates and pass the invoice to you 1:1.

Sorry, should explain in my post. Delay is due to my newborn being in intensive care and being very sick. Condition according to doctors could require anywhere between 1 to 2 months. We are trying to visit her twice a day in kinderspital and send our older kid to the daycare. That's why we would need a car.

Sorry I can't really help, I guess it would be too much hassle to buy a cheapy one and don't care about giving it away after? Might be cheaper than renting?

From where to where do you have to travel - is public transport not possible? Mobility?

Otherwise you may just have to hire a small car for a month and chalk it up to bad luck
