Yes, this was typical SBB when I came here over 20 years ago, I'm feeling old

Re: SBB advert. Does this bring back memories?

I only remember the trains here as far back as 1999, but I recognise the seats! Not to mention the smoking (and the fashion, but I think that was in the UK in the 80's).

For anyone interested in the half price tickets, I think it's online only.

Re: SBB advert. Does this bring back memories?

You can find the same train/interior/seats on some regional lines from Lausanne like going to Morges/Nyon/Geneve

So if you feel like going back in time...

Re: SBB advert. Does this bring back memories?

To me it seems, the folks at SBB marketing completely missed the point.

I loved the EWI carriages with the windows you could pull down to let in the country air, the smell of freshly cut grass from the meadows, or the fresh mountain air. I loved the warm light of the incandescent bulbs. I also loved the time when so many more trains had dining cars. I loved the trains that looked liked trains and not just plastic. Let's bring back a bit of the old SBB.

Love the guy with the mullet! I'll bet there were plenty of those around here in the 1980's.
