Hi people

Just need a bit of a point in the right direction. I have a 1983 VW camper van.. (my pride and joy). Just drove it from Cherbourg to Lausanne in pretty snowy conditions and it just purred all the way.. not that I'm boasting about my van of course!!

Anyways although it doesn't need a service just yet I wanted to know if anyone knows of any garage that services old cars or vans. I know most garages won't touch a car older than 15 years old unless they are specialists.

So any suggestions in the Montreux, Lausanne or Geneva areas?

You've just gone and made me all nostalgic... I just brought my Irish registered Van which was my pride and joy, home last month to sell it.

Sorry can't help with your garage search though... But I will say this much, when I did get my van services here I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of service and value for money I received over the Irish garages!

your bus is a bit newer than they like, i'm assuming it's a wasserboxer, but they'll maybe do you a service or send you to someone else local.

There is a small place in Villeneuve run by a mechanic who had before a large VW Garage but did decide to get out of the hassle....
His name is Max Huber, he is a real mechanic, not just a part-changer....
and of course he knows all old Volkswagens by heart.

How about garages for "newer" models, like 2002 and up? Can any one recommend good garages? Pref. where they speak English?
