Moving Back to UK? Why not hire this man with a van?

I moved back to the UK about a week ago and was so impressed with my man with a van that I thought I'd share his details on here! Despite the dodgy name "Del Boys Removals" he was very professional and exceeded my expectations in terms of how easy everything was. You definitely get your money's worth with this friendly and hardworking man! I have no idea how he managed to fit all mine and my son's things in that van- he said he is a master of the game tetris! I lived in a 3rd floor apartment with no lift.... not a problem for this guy!

So if you need to move back and don't want to pay for expensive haulage companies, then give him a call/SMS/whatsapp to get a quote. I sent him photos via whatsapp of my mountains of boxes and furniture so he could easily tell me if it would fit or not.

Well it shouldn't, and shortly won't, be in the items for sale forum, and it really does read like an advert on behalf of someone else.

But I'll give the BotD and move it to Transportation.

Ah, didn't notice it was in the For Sale forum, I just read it as a good recommendation.

Re: Moving Back to UK? Why not hire this man with a van?

Sorry I didn't know where to put it and didn't have time to read through the rules (dealing with a marriage break up and an international move with a 1 year old is no easy task)!

I just felt as though he deserved recommending as he rescued me when I had no other option. He's a youngish lad trying to make an honest living. When he turned up with his other half I thought there's no way they'd manage the job but they were gone by lunchtime and I could've flown that evening (I had booked flights for the next day because I thought we'd be shifting boxes all day- but I didn't even have to lift a finger). I did do all the packing and taking furniture apart though.

Hope this is useful for people! I couldn't find any option on here when I was desperately searching to find a cheaper option than the larger companies so thank you for not deleting the post and putting it in the right place for me as there may be others in the same situation!

I've attached a picture of them unloading my stuff into the storage shed (luckily my brother-in-law had a farm shed free!) so you know that I'm not just advertising!!

Re: Moving Back to UK? Why not hire this man with a van?

Hi F, would you please send me a PM about how much did you pay for his works? I am looking for someone like him to save my life. I am moving from London to Zurich. And the storage will be ending by end of August.

Thanks a lot for your useful recommendation. I have the same issue as you!
