Do I need to buy a ticket for a large suitcase?

Silly noob question - I'm collecting visiting parents from Geneva airport on Saturday and bringing them home on the train/ bus.

I've got it into my head from somewhere that you need to buy a half-ticket for large luggage. Anyone know if this is the case, or have I just dreamt this up?

Many thanks.

Thank you - fabulously quick response! I think I've got mixed up with carrying large dogs, or from travelling in the Czech republic a few months ago, or something...

Cheerio
