Best Monthly Travel Card -Zurich

Hi All,

I am moving to Zurich as a non-EU resident with D-Visa L permit.I am looking for advice to buy the best monthly card to spend time exploring the city while the time I am here.I have gone through a lot of posts on the types of card , frankly speaking I am little confused.I am basically looking for a monthly pass which gives me access to all the tourist places. Also few good posts which can guide me to buy extra tickets when required so that i dont become an offender due to lack of knowledge.

Also is cycling a good option in Zurich for getting around in and around the city for non-german speaking lady. This is the first time I am taking a break from work and would like to have the best time so that i dont miss my work .

P.S:Also can you suggest some places where I can work in NGOs for free.

Cheers.

Re: Best Monthly Travel Card -Zurich

This is the Zurich fare zone system - https://www.stadt-zuerich.ch/vbz/en/...ne_system.html
This gives you a good idea of all the tickets available - https://www.stadt-zuerich.ch/vbz/en/...ts_prices.html

If you are free and just want to use the ticket for roaming around Zurich and nearby areas, get the 9 o'clock one. Only requirement, you can only use it after 9 am.

If you need to go out of the zones for which you have the ticket, you can buy extensions from every machine. The machines give info in a lot of languages.

Cycling is quite possible as the city is small. you just need a map.

Welcome to Switzerland. I hope you have a nice time.
