Re: Motorcycling first steps

First of all:

@st2lemans, its a real pity you're not near Basel cos I would love to watch you at work on the bikes!

Secondly, I got my a1 learners permit 4weeks ago (I have a B license already), circumstances have changed and we got a car instead. I have only 4 months to do the 8hours grundschule, but as there are no courses from Dec to Feb I have to do it within the next 8weeks.
Financially I'd rather not do that right now, has anyone got their 4months extended?

I think I read about it before but its probably difficult to do. IN any case if they extend it for 2months it still wont get me into March so I guess I'll just have to fork out the 120 odd CHF to get a new L permit in March?

Nice, though the brakes are a bit weak, which is why the engine has been broken a few times (once by me, several times by my friend), as invariably one needs the engine braking effect in addition to the crap Ate disk brakes when riding spiritedly!

Actually, I like it enough that a couple years ago I considered buying a friend's 1974 R90S, which he had bought new and was 100% original, but I decided that I had too many bikes.
