Having issues finding importers for motorbike exhaust.

Hello chaps (and chapettes)!

I want to get new exhaust slip-ons for my Triumph Street Triple (2012), and I am having issues with finding out if there is a homologation certificate I can get for it.

The exact exhaust in question is this one:
http://www.leovince.com/en/catalog-t...2012/285222950

On that page they have a link to the following approval certificate:
http://www.leovince.com/files/F20405/CO-8567-8568.pdf

I doubt that this certificate is enough from my research, and I am struggling to find a Swiss retailer for the exhaust.

Any idea how I can either find out where to buy the certificate, or alternatively a Swiss importer of the exhaust?

I'm not too precious about which exhaust I get, but the Leovince do seem to be the best value by some margin (260-300), especially if I order directly from Italy.

Thanks for reading.

Re: Having issues finding importers for motorbike exhaust.

This is easy as I did it a few years ago with LV. The certificate linked is not accepted in CH. Contact the importer.. somewhere in Bern, it is clearly listed on the LV site. Ask them if they have a certificate for the exhaust and ask a bike dealer to contact them to order the certificate.

They work thru dealers not direct with public.

Buy the exhaust in germany. I saved 50%

Re: Having issues finding importers for motorbike exhaust.

Have you tried contacting the company on their Swiss contact page?
http://leovince.ch/kontakt
Tekno Parts Ltd

I would assume they would be able to tell you how to purchase their products.

http://leovince.ch/modelle/modell-un...e-2015?lang=de

There is their price list, looks like 705chf or 930chf (steel vs carbon) is the recommended price, which is probably a lot higher than what you'd pay outside of Switzerland.

You can check with any motorcycle garage if they buy from Tekno Parts and they will get this for you for that price. You can also check your local Triumph garage, they might offer you a better price, if they feel they will get a new customer this way.

That's nice! I didn't know the importer would issue a certificate for an exhaust which wasn't purchased through them.

Re: Having issues finding importers for motorbike exhaust.

Contact Triumph Lugano, and speak to the owner, Alessio.

He speaks fluent English, and is a long-time friend of mine.

Fantastic responses, thanks everyone!

I will find out if I can purchase a certificate separately as I can get the twin exhausts imported for 260 for the pair.

Sorry I wasn't doubting you, I just meant I'd verify it personally before making the purchase

Any it doesn't matter. . The importer only deals with dealers not public.

Phone the guy I mentioned, but not tomorrow as it's a holiday.

Re: Having issues finding importers for motorbike exhaust.

Apologies for the delay, it's 80-120 CHF depending on the exact model I purchase.

Looks like the one I want is 120 CHF.
