Body Damage Help

Hi Folks,
I had an unfortunate incident involving another car and since I don't have coverage on my own car I was wondering if any of you fine folks had a recommendation for a body shop. My car is a 2008 Subaru Impreza which I really like but I don't want to spend more than necessary to fix it. Damage appears to be drivers side front fender and door at the joint. I'm hoping but not certain that the frame is undamaged.

Specific questions would be:

1. Would a Subaru dealer be best?
2. Should I consider taking it to Germany for repair?

Thanks

Eric

Re: Body Damage Help

So is it safe to assume you are at fault?

If so, then you might want to google Carrossiere and/or Spritzwerk near you (or your office). I have used one in Ruschlikon and found them very good (in terms of quality of work).

For each panel that needs repairing budget 300-500chf - add 200chf per panel that need replacing (possibly more). Budget 300-500chf on top per panel for the spraywork.

3,000chf seems to be a popular repair cost figure in Switzerland.

Re: Body Damage Help

Yes, I believe I was officially at fault in this one. My first accident in 25 years of driving but at least there were no injuries and the damage is relatively minor for both of us.

Thanks for the advice. I will investigate further.
