Zurich, May 1st parking - Parking places to avoid.

Parking in Zurich at May 1st seems to be a hot topic: Parking meter and holidays

Alltough it should be free some hot spots should be avoided, because they may become hotter than you thought:

Better to not park your car, speciaially "luxury" and sports cars in the following area on May 1st.

To be sure I'd extend that map up to Limmatplatz and down to Wiedikon

Capitalist thingies etc. However the actual official protest is not the problem, apart from blocking up the centre of Zürich.

It's what those Black Bloc wankers do in the Langstrasse area after the official protest that's the big problem.

Demonstrating , wait there is something political? It is most likely only Stauffacher and max. ten other's who really think it is a demonstration. The others are just there to have 'fun'. When and where else can you riot? Right, just a bit more than week later: FC Zurich - FC Basel. ,

PS: Riots are no loger what they used to be, where are the pitchforks?

It is International Workers Day and people are out protesting for worker's rights. Wiki has a great explanation for the basis of this protest. I was just reading up on it and was very interested that it was grounded in Chicago. I think, in the last years, it has been relatively, peaceful demonstrations in Zurich Maybe a water cannon or two pulled out. At least the police horses out ( if that is the case) will be trained and well taken care of. I do believe it is best not to go downtown and drive those Ferraris and Lamborghinis ...not the right day or weather for it.

So a horse in a demonstration is fine but a horse in a parade is not?
The cruel side of Sechselauten-Horse dies of heart attack !

It's raining in Zürich. The thugs will be at home watching porn and squeezing their zits no doubt ...

I hope the horses are safe on a lovely field somewhere ! But, if they "have" to be there, these horses are trained for it ! Unlike the ones that are running around a fire that is popping, exploding and shooting cinder and sparks....
