Travelling with Cathay Pacific
Apologies if this is in the wrong Topic but not quite sure were to put it!
My Family live in New Zealand and I (together with my husband and 2 children) travel to see them about once every 2 years. I usually fly Singapore Airlines, as it is the most direct and was the cheapest!
From 1 April, Cathay Pacific is now flying daily to NZ via Hong Kong. The prices of these flights way undercuts any other Airline. I have never flown them before, but upon doing some research I discovered economy class have seats called 'Shell seats' that dont actually recline as per usual but instead you can pull the bottom of the seat forward in order to have more space. Apparently these are extremely uncomfortable for a long haul flight! I believe when Cathay Pacific now buys new planes they have eliminated this feature?
What I am wanting to know is if anyone has flown this route ZRH to AKL with Cathay Pacific and knows if they are using the new planes or has any experience in General with these shell seats?
Apparently you develop a condition called Numb Butt Syndrome after just a few hours travelling!
Thanks for your help!
