Imported Car from Germany - no Tax return
I'm writing here hoping that someone else had a similar issue and was able to solve it somehow.
I've just bought a car from a german official dealer near Munich. They confirmed that I can get the tax (19%) back after the import into Switzerland.
All good with the import on the Swiss side, I paid the Swiss taxes (4% + 8%) and then returned the import papers to the dealer but the dealer is refusing to return the German tax because of a missing stamp on a specific paper.
They asked me to a also get a stamp on a paper called "Gelagensnachweiß" (specific dealer paper). But, Swiss customs refused to stamp this paper by keep telling that that paper is not needed and they will not stamp it, and the clearance documents of the import should be fine for the dealer.
Did anyone experienced something similar? Is that "Gelagensnachweiß" a must for the tax return process, or is the dealer wrong and just doesn't want to return it?
What can I do in this situation?
Thanks in advance for your answers!
