6 months lease

hi,

I heard about this kind of 6 months lease for new car, where you pay 1% of purchase price (insurances included). I have not seen these advertised, but I hear from one person who actually has such deal. IMHO not bad deal.

If it was 1% all inclusive for 6 months from new it would be a fantastic deal - assuming no deposit. In fact so fantastic it doesn't add up.

And you didn't think that would be worth noting in your first post.

In fact - I can't yet work out what your post is about? Do you want a 6mth lease?

1) Yes - common knowledge in the business. Importers and dealer will have a fleet of cars - used for test drives, pre-launch events, press cars, boosting sales, building stock etc etc. Employees can also lease at good rates.

2) No - not readily available lets put it that way. Unless you are in the business you are unlikely to get access to them.

You have to remember the margin on a new car is substantial. Look at BMW AG - they import the car and then lease it internally for their employees - and then after 6-12-18-24mths the car is sold. If you do a search on BMWs for sale around Dielsdorf you'll see their cars.
