Zürich-Dietikon: best public transport ticket

Hi

I'm a new coming phd student at UZH and would like to ask for your advice.

The first day I arrive in Zürich I first go from the airport to the uni which building is Binzmühlerstrasse (nt far from oerlikon hbf as I understood). Then I will be staying in dietikon for month and a half before finding a permanent accommodation. While staying there I will be traveling to Zürich quite often - to the uni and then to apartment viewings. I'm 26 yo and don't have a permit yet.

Could you recommend any specific ticket for me (except for single tickets, I thought there are some more options)? Sbb website gave me the feeling of frustration because of so many different options. What is the cheapest option for me? How and where can I buy this ticket.

Thanks a lot. I'll really appreciate an advice!

Here the Map for Binzmühlestrasse 14.

https://www.google.ch/maps/place/Bin...f8e0b95535d850

The best Ticket?
Monthly pass for Zone 154 and 110. Cost is CHF 124 or CHF 90 if 25 or younger.
Or for double the price you can get one which covers the whole ZVV area.
Monthly and yearly passes: http://www.zvv.ch/zvv/en/abos-und-ti...tab-tab_0.html
Zones: http://www.zvv.ch/zvv-assets/abos-un...zonen_2014.pdf

Where to buy: The first one at train station, bring a photo and ID.

You beat me to it, aSwiss

Belissa, just one thing, double check and be absolutely sure that you are indeed staying in Dietikon, and not Dietlikon. A lot of people new to the Zürich area have messed up on that one, myself included

Both have MediaMarkts. You will be better off seeing the postcode and then confirming.
