Selling car help please

Hi can anyone help me? I've just sold our car privately, advertised with winter & summer tires.

Guys came to look, said they wanted it but with discount etc. we sold it, they got a whopping discount but we needed to get rid of it. They asked us to drop it off half an hour away, grr, but alright.

Turned up, they were 200 chfs short but said they ' bank transfer' it. ok, whatever.

Now they've gone nuts that there's no separate rims for the summer/ winters tires. Only the tires themselves which they saw.

They are coming to my house in 5 mins! From half hour away to kick off!!

What to do? Are they right? We've always just had the tires switched over, never even thought about rims!!!!
Help! Please!

Re: Selling car help please

I would have refused to sell the car to them if they were short of cash and complained about the lack of rims.

Really? Is this going to go horribly wrong? Oh no they are here....

Oh for gods sake. They reckon they aren't the right tires/rims blah blah and now they want me to drive half hour away again to pick up the car as they no longer want it.

I don't understand the problem. We've had the car for 5 years and just swapped the tires over as and when.

I have their money. Have I had dodgy rims/tires for 5 years? Is euro master being doing me over all this time?!

Never again. Thanks

Sorry Can I just ask- can I say no? They've already paid us. (Less the bit they were short which is not really a huge deal with the hassle)

They said when they looked last night at the car it had alloys?! It never did!

The only thing left to do is to stamp our grey form & post to them on Monday. We took our plates when we left then the car.

Re: Selling car help please

I'd tell them where to go.
They bought the car as seen and got a large discount too plus you've gone out of your way to help them. They're just trying it on to see how much they can screw you for.

Re: Selling car help please

Thanks so so much.

Have told them to do one. Only problem is they left the summer tires here when they tried to have a go so they'll have to pick them up if they want them. That might be nice. I love the fact that they couldn't possibly come and get the car the first time due to little kids etc but they raced here in 20mins over some rims.

Argh I was only so bloody helpful to do this quick & they've wasted time I haven't got.

Thanks again. Taking back to dealer next time. Lesson learnt!
