Importing Car Company (Germany to Switzerland)

Good morning dear friends of the forum

I would like to import a car from Germany and then do a leasing here. Can anyone point me a good, trust worthy company to take cate of that?

I say that because any car you import from Germany (vat 19%) gets 7% off in Switzerland (8+4%). For example a 100k car in Germany will cost 93k in Switzerland. And I don't want a company that charges me 105k total just to take care of a few papers and pick up the car for me.

Can anyone point me out in a good direction ( preferably in Bern, but what matters is that's a good company )??

Thank you all for the help

Your friend from Bern

Paulo

Re: Importing Car Company (Germany to Switzerland)

It ain't that simple, because cars ain't TVs

You can't just deduct the VAT and think you're done with it. You have CO2 taxes as well, and if you're not an importer, getting a new car in can go crazy expensive I think.

If you're talking about buying a second hand car (with few Kms on the clock) then what you're talking about might be feasible, but for a brand new car I don't think so much...

Also to lease an imported car seems impossible to me without a company. Financing it possible, leasing it without an importer charging you not a chance IMHO.

I was talking about a second hand car.

Thanks you all for the help.

If you're interested this company ( autotrade24 ) does everything for you! Just go to mobile.de, choose a car and talk to them. They will take care of all the process (importing, papers and technical inspection), buy your car and the leasing/credit for your new car.

Easy and professional. I'm picking my new car tomorrow!
