Train from Geneva airport to Vevey

Hi guys,

I know you've probably seen this type of thread a hundred times but hoping you can clarify something for me.

We need a train from the airport to Vevey, and a return for a few days later. On the rail website from what I can make out, despite all the options, it is cheapest to get 2 singles, for 35chf each. Would this be right?

If so, could they be bought on the day for same price / availability, or should I book now and then have them printed?

Many thanks,

Chris.

Usually it costs exactly the same on the day. I'd buy here, the staff will tell you whats the best option. Usually return is pretty much 2 x single and no silly complicated stuff.

Edit :: You can't (legally) buy on the train from the inspector.. Buy in the station, machine or staff counter.

You can buy on the day, or before as you wish, 2 singles = 1 return, therre really is nothing complicated about Swiss rail tickets, price remains the same !

Re: Train from Geneva airport to Vevey

Its 32f per way, not 35. If you want to save money, get the free ticket from the airport to Geneva main station, that saves you 4f.
If you want to save even more, try to buy supersaver tickets. These are valid for a specific train, so you have to take that exact train. They are up to 50% cheaper, so depending on the time, it could go down to 16f per way
