Car parts shops

I know that carrefour and feuvert in France sell car parts and they are easily accessible as I live in Geneva but I was wondering if there are any other shops near Geneva or in Vaud where I can buy car parts such as Car headlight projectors for retrofitting etc.

Also Does anyone have any idea if halogens such as "Philips Diamond Vision" are illegal to use? As stated by Philips themselves, they are to be used for off road driving but does it really matter in terms of legality. Do you think I have a chance of getting a ticket?

They are not road legal, which is why they are designated 'for off road use'. You probably will get away using them, if your caught you will get a fine. Your car may fail it's MFK as the lights were too hot & turned the plastic yellow, this happened to me.

They may get hotter than most but they are still rated 55w as any halogen out there plus it's made by Philips so I doubt it'll have cheap quality that'll generate extensive heat, melting the plastic.

No, but they were good for melting my wiring and switches.

Then I got smart, added relays, which got rid of the need for higher output bulbs.

(and the melted switches)

So does anyone actually use off road bulbs for betting lighting such as Philips Diamond vision?
