Drivers License Conversion after change in status

Hi all,

I was an a diplomatic dependent permit till a few months ago. I recently turned 24 and can no longer be considered dependent on my parents. I changed my permit according to where I work now. I have a foreign license and used to drive around on that early. I was not required to change it because of the type of permit I was on.
My current drivers license does not warrant a direct conversion to a Swiss License.
Will I be given another year to change my permit or will I to change it immediately?
