where can I find how much a day-return for the bus/tram costs?

Dear All,

I've tried -and failed- to find out how much a bus / tram ticket costs on the SVV website.

I would need a day-return from monchaltorf to oberwetzikon ZH and that is 3 zones, I have to take the bus and then the tram.

Where can I find how much that will cost? And can I buy this day-return in the bus on the day of travel? Does anybody know this?
And it doesn't matter if you use the bus and or the tram right?

Many, many thanks in advance for your helpful answer.

BB

Page 13, Tageskarte Erwachsene.
If you have a half-fare card, it's 6.60 for 2nd class, if you don't, it's 13.20.

You should be able to buy it on the bus.

If its in the Zürich Kanton (ZVV) then you can buy this at a ticket machine at all tram stops or railway stations, enter your destination then select 24hours or return.

Easy, how much it costs? it'll say on the machine...

Re: where can I find how much a day-return for the bus/tram costs?

thanks guys!

Alas, there is no ticket machine in Monchaltorf, hence my question.
So I can just buy my return ticket on the bus ...right?

Thank you for the useful web links. I assume the prices for the zones are just one way?
Or is that a return? That is what confused me a bit...
This will be the first time for me travelling with the bus. I don't have a car and I need to go to Wetzikon and 3 days later to Zurich.

So that's why the inquiry,
Many thanks

The price for three zones (Sfr. 6.60) includes return within 24 hours. You can buy the ticket with the bus driver. I speak just basic German, so I say to him/her: "Wetzikon, retour (it means 24 hours valid)" Some of them are more patient and nicer than others. Ah, by the way, I always know in advance how much do I have to pay. Many times I do not understand what they say to me in dialect.

Do you have a "half tax abonemment"? It is quite convenient.

Same if you have to go to Zurich. Just say to the bus driver: "Zurich, half tax, retour". Easy!

Hi Nelita,
Thanks, I had completely forgotten about the dialect
So yeah, good one.
Another reason to know how much it cost.

And also thank you for letting me know how to say that in German.
I was preparing a whole speech (via google translate) - what to say and how to order it hahaha, so yeah, your version is definitely shorter.

Pfffew, I was really worrying about holding up the line in the bus, early in the morning and now, deep sigh, I don't have to worry about that anymore

At the moment, I have no half tax card, once I have a job, I would be able to pay for all this and get a yearly card.

Thanks and have a good day!
