Re: 2016 Vignette - I hope you don't have a red car...

This will possible requires a Technology investment from them what could mean no longer sticks but license plate readers along the highway. The question is if there's a Business case for such change.

Still the same price..... but surly equally important than is 'When will the motorway sticker become transferable between cars registered to the same license plates'?
Never, in its current form. It's illegal to transfer the sticker from one windscreen to another. But an obvious solution would be to develop a sticker than can't be removed in one piece (actually, this is *theoretically* the case with the current vignette) and have people affix it to the front numberplate. It could still be checked in the usual way at border crossings and police checks and would be much more convenient for motorbikes (where of course it would go on the sole (rear) numberplate). Currently, the vignette is supposed to be stuck "somewhere accessible" on bikes. I just keep mine loose in a lockable compartment on the bike there isn't anywhere appropriate for the CH sticker, let alone the motorway vignette.

The easiest way by far, would be to include the fee in the number plate tax, you could even reduce it by 25% as there would be no more design/printing/distribution/admin/accounting fees to be taken into account.

People entering with foreign plates would have to buy a vignette valid for 30 days or 1 year on entering at customs point.

Sure some people don't use the highways and shouldn't have to buy one, it's a democracy, majority rules and the majority, by far, use the highways or have their preoducts delivered to the local Migros/Coop by truck/highway.

I bought mine yesterday, it's definitely more lilac than pink in real life.

The old one came off surprisingly easily with the 'Vignette removal kit' I bought last year so that's one of the many end-of-year jobs dealt with.

vinegar is the key to remove the old one

Just apply some vinegar on a towel then gently rub the old Vignette for a minute or so.

it will get of easily
