SBB Mobile ticket question.

I'm infrequent train traveller (I had a halb tax one year, but my journeys were insufficient to pay for it), but a few times a year I have to go to Bern - about 45 mins. and two trains.

I always get a virtual ticket with the SBB mobile app.
On my last few journeys, I've never seen a guard or had my ticket checked. On the local train, this is not surprising as there's never a guard, unless they decide to do a spot check blitz, but on the mainline train, it's an IC double-decker, with the journey time for this leg, of 20 mins.

I'm now back at home, but my question is this: if the QR code hasn't been scanned, could I technically make the same journey again (obviously completing it by the end of the day)?
I would think the same would also apply to an unstamped paper ticket.

Logically, I can see no reason why not, other than it is morally wrong.

My wife is also a GA holder and received in the post a CHF10 voucher, valid till the end of the month.

She obviously wont use it, so I entered the code when I bought my online ticket, but on the 'Buy' screen it came back the voucher was only valid for halb tax card holders - which I'm not, so I didn't risk using it. A big fine isn't worth a 10 chuf reduction.
With hindsight, It wouldn't have mattered.
Doesn't seem logical to give a discount voucher to a GA holder for use only by a halb tax card holder.

Re: SBB Mobile ticket question.

Did your wife had her birthday recently? I got a 10chf voucher last month with a happy birthday message from SBB

No, in May - I assume it was more of a Christmas gift ..... it's just the intended user that seems baffling.
It's useless to her, my eldest also has a GA and the youngest has a free travel pass when accompanied by a parent.
I'm the only one who could use it, but I would have to have a halb tax to do so.

As a GA holder, you get the halbtax price for class upgrades. Perhaps the voucher is for that?

As for your original question; I see no technical reason you can't reuse it. As you say, it's no difference from an unstamped paper ticket.

Re: SBB Mobile ticket question.

I've just had another look at the voucher. I can only think it's a cock up by them.

The general wording is thanking her for making her journey on public transport using her halb tax (??) and here's 10 chufs off for your next trip.

A few years a go this was a "common" trick. But with one twist: A return ticket for a certain minimum distance was valid for up to a Month.
People bought a Zurich-Fribourg return ticket ( back then CHF 50) and used it to travel Zurich-Baden (back then CHF 200/month).
If there where fewer than 4 inspection a month ... you do the math.

Surely, Zurich to Fribourg would cost more than Zurich to Baden? Or is that Freiburg and Baden-Baden?

One is a Return ticket valid up to 1 Month from issue date or until the first time it is checked by the ticket inspector.

The other is a Monthly ticket.
