A question about SBB tickets

Hello again.

Come January, I'll be in Zurich for 2-3 months and then move to Lugano.

During my stay in Zurich I'll stay near Kronestrasse 37.
I'll have to commute daily to and from near Baderenstrasse 560.

I have created an account at SBB's website and also downloaded the mobile app.

The ticket for the ride costs 3CHF

My questions are:
1. Can I purchase 2-3 tickets in advance?
2. There is a departure / arrival time on the SBB site. Assuming I have purchased a ticket for like 08:35 and need to leave somewhere around 09:00 for instance. Will the above ticket be valid?
3. I noticed that the ride is a 2 zone ride. What does it mean exactly?
4. As the GA is way too expensive, I am considering a Half Fare. Are there any other options? Better / Worse ?

As always thanks in advance for your replies.

Yes. They are sold in single 2 - 3 - or 6packs.
Alternatively a monthly pass would be the cheapest option.

Ticket is usually valid for one hour. Exact times are imprinted on the ticket.
Alternative - "punchable" ticket. You buy these in multipacks as well, and just punch it before boarding. (Orange box at the station)

That youll need a two zone ticket. That would be 3.30 instead of 3.00
More about zones in the link above.

Re: A question about SBB tickets

Thanks for your answer.
However, I don't understand what you said about the cost would be 3.30chf.
How's that?
The SBB ticket shop displays 3.00 chf price. You're saying that upon purchase i'll pay 3.3 instead of 3.

Sorry, my mistake. Zurich automatically counts as two zones which will cost you 3 Chf.
Its 3.30 for the 3 zones (but you actually only travel two, one being a double, hence the confusion)

And to go a bit off-topic - the distance is a joke. Get a bicycle
