Driving licence

Hallo Everyone,
I already have driving licence from my country and want to have one from switzerland. I made it last year during my holidays from india but before that in 2014 i registered myself in switzerland. So they told me they will not accept my local. Any suggestion or feed back will highly be appreciated to make this process simple and cheap. Moreover i already have valid german visa till end of 2016 and also swiss b permit. So is it also possible to process it from Deutschland.
Regards

Re: Driving licence

Your non-Swiss (Indian) driving license was valid for one year after your arrival in Switzerland. According to the attached diagram, since it was non-EU (or not from several other countries such as USA), you will need to apply for a Swiss driving license and follow the normal procedures, including a Kontrollfahrt:

If you leave Switzerland for 12 consecutive months, Switzerland would recognize a driving license acquired while abroad, e.g., from Germany:

"Werden Führerausweise akzeptiert, die im Ausland von Personen erworben wurden, die ihren Wohnsitz in der Schweiz haben?

Im Ausland erworbene Führerausweise werden anerkannt, wenn der Erwerb während eines Aufenthaltes von mindestens 12 zusammenhängenden Monaten im Ausstellerstaat erfolgte und eine entsprechende Bestätigung beigebracht werden kann. "

Re: Driving licence

As you acquired it AFTER you were already resident here, you cannot convert it, you will have to do the full theoretical test, various courses, lessons, and the full practical test.
