Bus Service (inter-cantonal)

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is a bus service in Switzerland which provides transport between cantons? I would like to find a bus/minibus that can take me from Geneva to Zürich and back next week, but I'm not sure where to search.

The thing is, I'm going to a concert and would prefer being able to return home the same night, so the train is out of question since the last one is around 5 or 6 a.m.

Thanks for any info (website, phone number, etc.)

Re: Bus Service (inter-cantonal)

two options, I reckon...

1. Find someone with a car going from Geneva
2. Post yourself overnight back to Geneva

and the other options...
3. Get there for the last train
4. Wait for the first train
5. Get a hotel room
6. Make friends with someone in the Metropolis and sleep over

Re: Bus Service (inter-cantonal)

Perhaps find an airport bus shuttle service: I know these are useful for 'out of hours' travel between Basel and Zurich: perhaps (perhaps not!) there's a similar service between Geneva and Zurich?

Also have a look on the Universtiy notice boards: lots of people in similar circumstances and car-sharing is a popular method of travel. Post on Geneva and ZH noticeboards... maybe someone is also going to your concert?

Re: Bus Service (inter-cantonal)

Thanks for the info on the bus shuttle service, that's what I was thinking of. ^^

I was actually trying to avoid having to spend the night in a hotel, and catching the last train will be impossible because most concerts end around 00.00.

I'll find a solution, thanks again.
