Hi, my family and I have been in Basel for 3 weeks and this morning we left a lunch box in the #11 tram on the way to school.
Does anyone know where abandoned lunch boxes end up when left in trams?

'tis a very good service. I got my sleeping bag back from there. I'd left it on the train on my way down to Basel. I'd had a few beers on the way and left it in the overhead compartment. I think they charged me a few quid. 5F if I remember correctly.

I was able to recover the lunch box 2 days after it was lost at the fundburo across from Hewagee. It was relatively painless and only 5 francs to re-claim it. The cookie and juice box were thankfully left untouched.

I'm thrilled...

My friend left her handbag on the tram in August (on jazz in the city night) and the driver found it and took it back to the tram depot so a good result. Try that for future losses.

Should I check it in Kanton office - Lost and found section or in the Fundburo which is mentioned here as near to Hewagee? Could anyone please give me the exact address of Fundburo please. In the bvb site, it shows the Kanton office address only and nothing in Hewagee area.

There is a lost and found at Schifflände - Spiegelgasse (the registration office where you would get your B/C/whatever permits for Basel-Stadt), everything found in the green public transport vehicles go there as well. I am not sure about tram 11 though. Why would you not jsut ring up BLT?
