I have noticed that many of the old cameras are being replaced with new ones that look both ways. A particularly sneaky Swiss trick and even more of a bummer if you are a Biker.

Your 2 cents came with a lot of common sense, thank you :-) after after so much intense worry and panic i really cant remember if it was 68km :-(( at this speed, less the tolerance it would be 13-15km over the limit which i hope would be a fine. i will find out in a month. for now i will try to remain calm and stay out of trouble!*!
<bump> So HenryVIII - what happened??

Re: Speeding fine with existing Verwarnung

Hi All,

Sorry for late reply I went away on holiday/work the next day for a month. When I arrived back there was a nice white envelope from the polce and yes I was caught speeding! Fortunately (what a contradiction!) I was only driving 58km in a 50km zone and not 68km as I had thought. I think in my panic I misread the dial :-)

Due to the number of km over the speed limit the fine was anonymous. 5km was deducted as an allowance for accruacy, it was a temporary camera so the deduction was high. The fine was for speeding 3km over the limit = 40CH.

The major lesson for me was not to speed! I am 1 year into my Verwarnung (half way there) so I must ALWAYS be careful and follow the limits regardless of how fast the other traffice around me is! I can honestly say I am surprised at how many times I am overtaken whilst driving at the speed limit.

Thanks to everyone for their help in explaining the rules.
