Parking in Champery Les Crossets

Hi everybody

I´m going to visit Switzerland this month and I will go to Champery and Les Crossets to have some fun. I have two easy questions:

- Is it easy to park there, there is a parking in the map but, is it easy, free, how much?

- Can you drive by car easily to these towns, or do you need chains...?

Thanks everybody.

Never driven to Les Crossets. But there is lots of parking at Champéry and the road is good. You shouldn't need chains to get to Champéry. It's ploughed regularly between Monthey and the village itself. I drove there myself last week and it was fine. My guess is after Champéry driving will get more difficult. I parked in a paying spot. Cost me a few francs for a few hours but didn't pay attention to 24 hour charges, sorry.

Re: Parking in Champery Les Crossets

both easy to get to, parking at les crosets I think is 5SFR for the day, there is enough parking right next to the slope.

If you have winter tyres for les crosets then thats enough, you shouldnt need chains.

Re: Parking in Champery Les Crossets

One last thought. I've never been there on a Sunday. It can get very busy then with the local day trippers so don't know how that impacts parking spaces. Maybe MikeB can comment. There's always the train alternative though if all else fails.

unless its something special (christmas, easter weekend) we never had any trouble at les croset last year. not so sure about champery but i like croset because its a smaller kick off point so attracts less people but you can get anywhere.

Re: Parking in Champery Les Crossets

We've been driven up to Les Crosset by friends several times. The road has been snow-free every time, and parking was very easy. We normally left a little before the hill closed, and so beat the peak traffic time (which, as mentioned, is particularly important on Sundays).
