Driving mobility car outside of CH

I would like to know if anyone has taken a mobility car outside switzerland?

I used to believe that its not allowed to be driven into De or Fr (no insurance cover), until I met someone who has done that

Just wondering if anyone here on the forum has a definitive answer.

Maybe checking the Mobility.ch Web site would yield a response.

Can customers take their Mobility vehicles abroad?
As a Mobility-customer you can drive your Mobility vehicle into those countries covered by the insurance without any problems. These are Austria, France, Italy, Germany and Liechtenstein. All you need is confirmation from Mobility that you are authorised to drive its vehicles.

I've been to Freiburg in Germany and around the Saint-Louis area of France in one when I lived in Basel. To be honest I never checked the website, but living in Basel, how can they expect you not too?

Oh dear.
