Where do you usually go to have a car oil change done ?

Are there any low-cost garages, esp. around the Pfäffikon / Rapperswill area ? I saw a bunch of garages near the Seedamm Center, but don't know any in particular.

There's a Migrol at Seedam that I have used, and they were reasonable. Other than that, every workshop and garage in Switzerland is a major rip-off and there isn't much to choose among them.

If you ever drive across the border, get yr car serviced before you get back...

Just in case you're an American and not used to European cars.....Most current European cars do not require any oil changes between services - 20,000 Km is quite usual and no need for anything more.
