From Geneva to Lyon

Hi,

I'm trying to find a train schedule from Geneva(CH) to Lyon(FR), but I can't. I've tried to google it, I've searched everywhere and bahn.de tells me there isn't any train going that way. Is it really true? It's only the distance of 114 km..

I'm looking for a way to come from Geneva to Lyon by train. Help!

Just enter the names of the cities you wish to depart from and arrive at.

You are right, it doesn't work...strange. (Maybe because the whole trip is considered to be in France and is run by the SNCF).

But, if you try www.sncf.ch it does. I tried it and several trains came up for july 21st with the various ticket prices.

Don't enter the date in your search, just the city names. The trains run the same time today as they would in July.

Re: From Geneva to Lyon

Just try the SNCF thing. The trains are operated by the SNCF so that is getting it first-hand. I tried it and it worked.

Best of luck and bon voyage!

There are direct trains. It is just that you cannot book more than 90 days in advance.

Re: From Geneva to Lyon

Does anyone have a rough idea of the price of a ticket from Geneva to Lyon Saint-Exupery (which, from what I've gathered, is best for linking to the airport)?? The SBB website is down for maintenance at the moment...

Go on to the SNCF website and you'll find all the info there. ST-Exupery is tha airport station but I think you may have to change at Part Dieu.

It's between 50 and 70 euros IIRC.
