Just wondering something from a "formfehler" perspective:
I've been fined last Friday 100 CHF for parking too long at my local railway station by my local Gemeindepolizei, the ticket looks OK except neither the Unterschrift nor the Kurzzeichen fields are completed. Other fields OBZ-Nr, Ort, Date/Time, Geseztl. Grundlange, Bussen-Betrag, Fahrz.-Kat., Marke/Typ/Farbe are.
If it's a real Gemeinde fine - then pay it, don't mess around or the fee will only grow. Some local shopping centers employ parking / security companies to hand out fines to illegal parkers and you may be able to avoid these fees if you remove your personal details from the cantonal on-line license plate database.
This link is obviously for Zürich, not all the cantons allow Joe Public to access this data.
Latest update: The lawyer at my legal liability insurance is sceptical the ticket is valid based on a short phone chat outlining the 2 missing fields (as there's no signature, badge, ID no.) meaning the ticketer cannot be identified.
Will scan a copy to them tomorrow. Who knows I may have my "formfehler" allowing me to avoid payment. Will keep you all updated.
Anyone else heard of the twins in Winterthur who share a car and avoid parking/speeding fines as it's impossible for the autorities with only camera evidence to uniquely ID one or the other?

see ananova for details.
Actually this is off-topic, I just read today that one of the twins has now been fined and has to pay for the court proceedings - not sure about the technicality, since they couldn't 100% confirm which one of them was driving..
My husband was fined at airport last week for letting off passengers on the yellow crossed area. He was given a ticket by the inspector. Do they post out the amount to pay with a pink pay-in slip?
