Just bought some stuff on Ricardo, and am looking for the equivalent of a UK 'Man with a van' to transport it from Zurich to Pfaffikon. No luck searching for something like this on google. Was wondering if anyone here knows if such a service exists in Zurich.

Look on the customer notice boards in the supermarkets: there's always someone offering their services. From what I remember, the going rate is about CHF50 per hour. Man included.

Thanks, doesn't seem to be that way tho; when one calls up numerous small companies from the 'Umzuge' website or also the Student move. The going rate is upwards of 100 Swissies per hour, normally - 148 CHF/hr.

Considering my jubilation at having won the bid at ricardo yesterday, it now seems like a nightmare that I might end up paying 3-4 times for the transport cost.

I noticed last time I was at my local OBI store that in addition to doing tool rentals, they also rent out vans by the hour. They don't come with a man, but you may be able to find a buddy to give you a hand.

I'd like to buy a large beanbag from a seller in Boniswil, but it's buyers-to-collect and I am not a confident driver especially not when it's the "wrong side of the road" like here.
