Hi , i want to import a mustang to switzerland ( i live in Lugano , the south) , i was wondering if anyone could help me with it! it can ship to genova / savona ( italy) and i could drive it up to ch..how much would it cost me? has anyone done it? thankss

i brought my audi from usa to CH....this summer.

no problems

make sure you own the car for more than 6 months or you will have to pay the import duties....not cheap!

docs you will need

TITLE from the STATE you registered

and

INSURANCE POLICY you had

you will also have to take the car after customs clearance for a vehicle test. however, the swiss law states you can drive with your US plates for 1 year after arrival.

i suggest bringing it into BASEL...it was very easy for me there.

finally, make sure your car is clean and neat....the swiss customs folks HATE dirty cars!
