When I saw the thread title, I was also going to respond by posting the "Performance" video. Here's some great lines from it:

Oh no, the hipster fixie trend has finally hit Zurich....Brooklyn and London is one thing but have fun taking that thing up the hills in Zurich.

There have been a few around for a while. Like mine in 2006, till I realised it took the fun out of cycling.

Most of the urban hipster fixies that I see being walked over the Hardbrucke are actually singlespeeds, you get the fashion looks, without the need for da skillz

bah hardbrucke is nothing, hardbrucke to oerlikon, now that is a fun climb especially for a fixie.
