Swiss reg plate holder?

I got my Swiss registration plates today, finally! My UK ones were plastic and screwed straight onto the front and back of my car. To get these Swiss ones on I assume I need a holder of some kind? Would I be able to get these from any local garage?

Re: Swiss reg plate holder?

sure - if you've had your car serviced then you might get some for free.

otherwise you can get them from Jumbo, for example. You can even get golden-looking ones.....if you're devoid of taste

Yeah I just picked mine up near the Strassverskhampt (can't spell it). There was a car dealership that sold them, I think most do

Yup, the Strassenverkehrsamt folk can help you out. The retention strip that runs along the bottom, just slots in on two clips, messes your fingernails up. I always use neutral black ones rather than using the garage advertising ones, unless they plan on paying me sponsorship.
