If he travels to ZH for a drink, it will cost more than the CHF 20.- you saved. Push Adrian for a decent long distance saving tip like Hawaii before dangling a proverbial carrot in front of him....

Re: Easyjet tip

I've been offered so many free beers it'll be worth buying a day ticket and going all around Switzerland before collapsing in a vomit laden heap somewhere near Basel SBB.

I tried this trick the other day and it was the opposite to the tune of 10 francs.

You owe me a beer now Adrian!

If you book a flight GVA to EDI leaving on the 24th Dec back on the 1st Jan it's £203 normally. With the Adrian way it's £181

I will be going past SBB shortly. If I see him and his sick pool I can give him a little kick in the ribs if you wish

Leave at 7.30 and back at 13.40 is £133 normally and £122 using Adrian.

£201 versus £181 if you want to come back on the 19.55 flight.

I'm so jealous there are so many flights per day to London

Ive done this trip loads of times. Even with the cost of flights and train tickets, a day of shopping in london costs less than a day of shopping in Geneva

Usually we leave at 7 and come back at 19

Re: Easyjet tip

Interestiing reading all this, will try it myself in the future.

One thing to be careful of with EJ bookings is if you book more than one return flight at the same time and want to later add luggage to one or more legs on the booking. For example I booked for 5 return trips over the next few months to London from Geneva, doing them all in one go to save a bit of time. What I normally do is just go with hand luggage, and book hold luggage as and when I need it - usually just the return leg from London with a bit of shopping.

On my last flight I needed to add hold luggage, but the website would only let me do this for all 10 future flights on this one booking. The same thing was the case for Speedy Boarding when I experimented.

Therefore, if you are likely to add baggage at a later date, make sure you book the flights individually (or the full return trip at most)

Re: Easyjet tip

Easyjet to trial allocated seats

Quote:
It will start offering them on a number of limited routes.

People wanting emergency exit seats with extra leg room will pay £12, those wanting front row seats £8, while those picking seats elsewhere will pay £3.

EasyJet will then allocate remaining passengers seats free of charge, with those on the same booking reference as close together as possible.

Easyjet passengers on flights from Luton to Sharm el Sheikh, Malaga, Alicante and Istanbul and flights from Glasgow to Alicante are part of the trial.

Re: Easyjet tip

I'm trying to use Easyjet and it's anything but easy...what am I doing wrong?? I chose English as the language and the site seems to think I only want to travel to or from Great Britain...it's the only option in the departure drop downs.

Help! There's an economy vacation waiting for me and it's only 2 weeks away.

Sorry, I was too narrow in the description...when I do the same that your picture shows, I can put departure as Zurich but then it only gives me UK destinations. Same for you or different?? Thanks for checking!

It's making me feel a bit insane/doltish. Then again, 6 weeks in to my move here, I'm in the "can't anything be easy??" phase of the experience!
