In December I swapped out 1 car for 2 at a local BMW dealer. This enabled me to keep a certain level of practicality that the Volvo had offered - but also get a car that would put a smile of the face if the sun ever comes out.

Today I fielded a call from their customer care wondering if I considered upgrading from that to the new 35iS. Considering mine is one of only 370 of its type - and that I rather like it - I told them it would be a good 3 years until I even thought about changing.

On the flipside, I have the habit of only keeping cars for a shortwhile - so they were perhaps trying to get lucky - OR they have someone looking for my car.
